With 14 years’ experience, Juliana oversees the Urban Design, Master Planning, Architecture and Interior works of key commercial projects at Raymond Woo & Associates Architects. She spearheads a wide variety of projects with experience in handling all phases of design from program definition through working drawings, feasibility studies and value engineering, inspection, supervision and handover both locally and overseas. In the footsteps of her mentor, Mr Raymond Woo, she manages to intertwine his traditional building forms with more contemporary ideas in form-making, thus creating a unique fusion for new architectural form. The result is a first of its kind in Singapore glass cladded shopping mall - a columnless cascading glass box building at 268 Orchard Road. Other projects that exhibits such dynamism are the Mall @ Alam Sutera in Jakarta, Indonesia, a Marina Mall in Doha, Qatar, an office tower - PetroVietnam Tower in Ho Chi Minh City and the masterplan for Kolombong, Kota Kinabalu. Juliana demonstrates that she is capable of creating dynamic designs independently and in collaboration with associates and clients. She enjoys challenges and setting benchmarks in the projects that she oversees. As with the 268 Orchard Road building, she is currently leading her team in the first ever Bungy Jump Tower Project in Singapore. Categorised as a special rides project, she is the key personnel liasing with authorities to negotiate the compliances for an 18th storey non-fire rated metal structural tower. She has strong management skills including personnel and project scheduling, employee and sub-contractor supervision, budgeting and finance, problem solving, client relations and quality control. As a design team leader, she also takes it in her stride to ensure that her design team are trained with up-to-date technical know-how required to remain competitive.
